How Can I Find More Singles In My Area?
Posted on December 8, 2008 by admin
Dear Dawn,
I’m having fun browsing online profiles at LawOfAttractionSingles.com but it seems like most of the guys I’d like to meet don’t live in my area. How can I find that "special someone" when they all live miles and miles away?

If there’s one thing you can be sure of when it comes to love, its that you’ll never know when (or where) you’re going to find it!
One of the biggest mistakes people make when browsing online dating sites is that they limit their search to their immediate home town. Yes, I realize you’re hoping to find someone who’s just minutes away because that would make the dating much, much easier.
But how do you know that your perfect partner doesn’t live in the next city, the next county or even the next state? After all, there’s no rule that says your ideal someone has to even live in your time zone!
So, what can you do?
Broaden your horizons, for starters! At LawOfAttractionSingles, we’ve watched countless members find their true love someplace other than their backyard. In fact, its not unusual to discover that the man or woman of your dreams lives hundreds of miles away. But there’s no distance between soul mates and while you might be thinking that a long distance relationship isn’t going to work, just remember that no one said the "distance" is forever.
Don’t think you’d want to relocate? Well, how do you know that your partner wouldn’t be game? And let’s be honest - what if your true love just won the lottery and is living on the beautiful beaches of Hawaii… would you be willing to move now?
I know your local area is your comfort zone and it certainly makes sense to start your search there. But don’t be afraid to push past those limitations and reach out to people outside that comfort zone - that’s really when the fun will begin!

Dawn,
I know that you keep encouraging people to look further than your home town and I have for many years. However, while it is not excluded that one might find someone far away, it is not very likely, as the logistics of a long distance relationship turn most people off. In all those years, I have never had a man who would be up for a real relationship approach me from far away. People need companionship, not someone they can hardly see. And when they can’t, the ground for building a relationship is meager.

Veronika,
You’re right - it is a little more difficult to manage a long-distance relationship, especially when that relationship is just getting off the ground but trust me when I say it CAN happen! I’ve had a number of friends who made amazing connections with people living in another state. Certainly you can focus your efforts on finding someone close to home - I’m just suggesting that you not exclude those outside your zip code because you could be missing out on the love of your life.

Hi Dawn
It was good meeting you on facebook, there were so many, and I chose the first one, hope that is you. lol…
I really would like to meet a gentleman.
I also believe in your attraction in action system.
One has to go and dance, swim, meet with friends.
We have to become involved in life, with our hobbies and our interests.
I do know too that the love we are looking for is within ourselves.
When you discover that, you become a whole person.
Many blessings from Brenda, Gold Coast Australia
